This is not what Mr. Peterson says he himself believes about women, that quote is taken from the description of just one of the many archetypes he asserts are common across history. Take a look at some of the others, e.g. “The Great Father is patriarchal society, tradition, pomp and circumstance, military-industrial complex, and super-ego: demanding, rigid, unjust, dangerous and necessary.” Hardly flattering!
*I don’t try and support the arguments in Mr. Petersons’s book, but ignorant criticism and willful cherry picking, just lower the tone so that both sides can simply continue to shout past each other. I usually agree with Mr. Haque’s politics, but also think it is important to maintain high standards of debate.*
